Mr. Cheng is a 30+ year veteran of the financial services industry. As a senior executive, he has created and managed various business and service entities in retail brokerage, private banking, wealth management and global investment banking firms. Serving on many industry committees, including the Board of Directors of Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, Mr. Cheng is recognized as an innovator and thought leader in the financial services industry. He has worked closely with all of the major regulatory agencies in the U.S. securities and banking markets, many in situations requiring major remediation or restructuring of the operating structure of firms he was asked to rebuild.
Mr. Cheng’s career as a transformation executive has focused on re-vitalizing a firm’s operating environment. Corey Abramowitz, Resources Principal
Corey Abramowitz is a seasoned staffing executive with 20+ years of designing and shaping a firm’s hiring process by managing their efforts in recruiting, and business strategy. Cory’s experience includes tailoring staffing solutions from large Fortune 500 companies to smaller start-ups, and leading talent acquisition efforts for large scale projects and all levels of full-time strategic staffing and staff augmentation.
His background includes overseeing strategic direction, recruiting talent and managing client expectations. Corey spent the last 10 years growing a technology and operational consulting firm dealing with the financial, pharmaceutical and entertainment industries. Corey was responsible for the overall growth of the company, concentrating on recruitment and client services while managing a staff of recruiters and account managers. His background consists of creating staffing solutions and recruiting techniques that companies cannot develop on their own.
In addition, Corey has access to an extensive and exclusive network of go-to professionals and referrals. His past experiences: Core I.T. Rob Barsky, Technology Principal
Rob Barsky is a senior Information Technology executive with over 30 years of leadership experience developing and executing technology strategies for Financial Services firms. Rob recently managed Information Technology for a major hedge fund, carrying out a strategic reorganization and implementing critical business functions and process controls. He worked with portfolio managers to incorporate technology and data into their businesses, improving business intelligence and reporting. Rob has professionally mentored CTO’s and technology managers at hedge funds and private equity firms. As an entrepreneur, he launched an electronic trading and execution business for mortgage-backed securities, raised venture capital and formed strategic partnerships.
At Thomson Financial, Rob simultaneously held leadership roles in three technology based companies with over 800 employees. As CEO of Thomson Digitrade, he leveraged new development and expanded product lines to turn a faltering enterprise into a profitable, growing business recognized for its highly rated web technology. As EVP of ILX and co-manager of BETA Systems, he managed workstation rollouts to Merrill Lynch and Dean Witter and managed the C-level relationships with Thomson’s largest clients. Rob also served in IT and Operations management roles with Salomon Smith Barney and E.F. Hutton, and developed large scale accounting and processing systems for Arthur Andersen & Co. Rob holds a B.A. in Economics from Duke University.
Nancy Fugosich-Cheng, Director of Administration
Nancy’s career has been broad and varied. Armed with an MBA in Finance and an undergrad degree in Computer Science and Accounting, Nancy began her career in technology and eventually managed a team of systems developers at NYNEX running one of the largest transaction processing data warehouses. Her team provided part of the root technology structure that was spun off to each of the Baby Bells when the AT&T divestiture occurred. Her skills include network engineering, management, and application implementation.
Nancy followed her success in technology with a change in focus to community services. In recent years she has worked in teaching, coaching and public advocacy. With her return to the corporate workforce, her background as a leader, problem solver and team builder, combined with her well honed communication skills serve her well in her latest focus as a co-founder and Director of Administration for C&A Consulting LLC.

Alan White, Technology Principal
Mr. White has a 15+ year track record as an entrepreneur and consultant demonstrating leadership and innovation in Information Technology with primary focus on Enterprise Data Management, Data Governance, Operational Stability and Analytical Systems. Alan has led senior teams as Architect and Technical Project Manager developing solutions supporting client’s business needs in the areas of Equities, Fixed Income, Risk, Compliance, Regulatory and Governance initiatives.
Alan’s hands-on experience includes implementing Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW/DWH), Data Integration, Master (and Reference) Data Management (MDM), Data Stewardship, Reference Data Hubs (RDHs), Data Marts (DMs), Data Integration, and Governance projects. In addition, Alan has directed several strategic and boutique consulting firm initiatives including establishing data integration departments, technology evaluation and selection, technology resource selection and staffing, niche software package scoping, planning and implementation. In practice Alan applies a business focused/tool agnostic approach to solving business challenges; seeking first to understand the client’s unique requirements and then recommending appropriate architecture and tools.
Alan has led initiatives utilizing best of breed, niche and brand loyal applications for Extract/Transform/Load (ETL: Informatica, Data Stage, Ab Initio, Pentaho, Talend), Reporting (Cognos, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Microstrategy) and Data Storage (DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle) as well as MPP/Appliances (Teradata, Netezza). John Wissing, Director
Mr. John Wissing is a seasoned and accomplished operations executive with a diverse industry background. John has served as a senior manager within the Operations, Retail Client Services, and Institutional Equity Sales divisions of multiple regional broker dealers. John has extensive experience in branch supervision & compliance, business process re-engineering, quality assurance planning, systems development and client reporting.
In addition to his leadership roles, John has designed and implemented several programs in support of client suitability, client account controls, Anti-Money Laundering and the related Know Your Customer requirements. He has designed, built and managed functional organizations in support of client accounts and transaction processing and all the tangential regulatory control, audit and risk requirements. His leadership roles have included the responsibility for firm policy and procedures in support of federal, state and self-regulatory organization compliant process and procedures.
While at C&A Consulting, John was assigned to various hedge funds and broker dealer engagements related to business process re-engineering, policies and procedures, and project management. Prior to C&A Consulting, John was a VP with CL King & Associates – Institutional Equities, and a Principal with First Albany Capital – Institutional Equity Group. John received a B.A. from The State University of New York at Cortland. He has previously held the following FINRA registrations: Series 7, 9, 10, 24, & 63 (Expired).
Thomas DeFrancesch, Director
Mr. DeFrancesch has 30+ years of experience in the financial services industry including over 20 years holding very senior roles with private equity and hedge funds ranging in size from 450 million to over 27 billion in AUM. He was instrumental in the start-up and successful launch of 2 hedge funds and for the past 5 years was the Chief Operating, Financial and Compliance Officer of a hedge fund. Previous to that he spent 7+ years as the Director of Accounting, Finance, Operations and Valuations at Cerberus Capital Management.
Mr. DeFrancesch has broad product knowledge including private equity, distressed debt, bank debt, Real Estate, CLOs, RMBS, CMBS, HG and HY corporate bonds, equities, options, futures and derivatives (CDS, IRS).
Earlier in his career, Mr. DeFrancesch spent 5+ years as an investment banker with 2 regional investment banks. He led the deal teams on several Real Estate private placement offerings and participated in raising capital in a variety of other public and private offerings as well as in the issuance of fairness opinions and the performance of due diligence.
Mr. DeFrancesch started his career and spent 3+ years with Price Waterhouse & Co. and earned his CPA and subsequently went on to complete his MBA.
Albert Rios, Director
Mr. Albert Rios has more than twenty-five years of experience in commercial and consumer mortgage banking and operations. As a senior executive and manager, he has managed Banking and Mortgage Operations, Program Management, Financial Risk and Compliance, Policy Execution and Reporting functions at major financial services firms in a variety of environments with demonstrated success. His primary expertise includes in-depth knowledge of regulatory directives concerning borrower/customer rights.
Mr. Rios has developed and implemented strategic long-term growth, cost reduction, planning and efficient executions for clients. He has demonstrated a proven ability to identify and capture new market opportunities to accelerate expansion, increase revenues, and improve profit contributions in a variety of distribution channels.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rios has developed an ability to manage diverse, multiple levels of executive and managerial responsibilities, including product and project implementation, operational regulatory oversight and business process production, coupled with effective communications and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization.

Madalena N. Sheehan Clausen
Madalena N. Sheehan Clausen (Maddy) is a highly experienced financial services professional, having held senior roles in Credit and Rates product management, eTrading and Operations at Tier 1 Banks. She has extensive experience in designing and delivering large-scale next generation eTrading, product distribution and Operations platform solutions, including target operating models concurrent with effective, day-to-day line management roles.
Maddy has created next generation Client Service Operating models to facilitate onboarding, new product distribution and expansion at global Tier 1 banks. The designs delivered service for, and access to, multi-asset global products, credit and risk guidelines, onboarding services, execution platforms, STP utilities, and “life of a trade” support.
As one of the first hires, Maddy was instrumental in the development, launch and daily operation of trueEX, the first fully electronic trading platforms for Interest Rate Swaps. As Head of Onboarding, Clearing & Client Relations, she created a strategy, discipline and operational process for trueEX to onboard all market participants, including Clearing firms, Clearing Houses and strategic partners.
Maddy has developed tools, protocols and oversight processes to support operational and regulatory requirements on pre- and post-trade price reporting, execution and confirmation fulfillment, for multiple regulatory governing bodies, including the CFTC, NFA, FINRA and SEC. This experience and knowledge led to her assignments as Corporate Monitor overseeing the Compliance reforms for the largest DOJ assigned monitorships to date.
